About This Episode
In this episode, we interview…ourselves!
Every month, we will be releasing an episode where it is just us talking about our past adventures and a theme that we found during that trip and what we learned about it.
Our Trip to Kauai
Kauai is known as the Garden Isle. It is a beautiful green island of Hawaii that is excellent for beach-goers that want less people around them and hikers. There is a long trek you can do on the north end of the island that we chose not to.
Instead we wanted to see as much of the island as possible while there for a few days and chose to drive the entire island. There are a lot of lookouts on the island that you can pull over to the side of the road and enjoy the view. We took full advantage of this during our time. We also checked out a few beaches and waterfalls when we could.
Driving Around Kauai
There is just no way to get around Kauai without having a rental car. I think the whole time we drove around the entire island I saw one taxi and no buses. Driving Kauai is totally fine. We drove the whole island as far as you can as you cannot drive the north-west portion of the island, you can only hike it.
The Necessity of Travel Insurance
Throughout the episode, we talk about our first of three trips to Hawaii. If you want to read more about our trip, check out what we did in Hawaii here.
Our first trip to Hawaii was not without problems. Upon landing, Mike’s ear never popped and with pressure building throughout the day, his ear ruptured. We then visited the emergency room in an ambulance with no travel insurance.
